The heritage of K•Swiss
With the launch of the first all leather tennis shoe in 1966 the K•Swiss name was established. The brand originated when two Swiss brothers, Art and Ernest Brunner relocated to South California to become devoted tennis players. Their love for the sport taught them how important comfort and quality shoes were to the game, so they produced the all leather K•Swiss Classic - the first of its kind. This shoe, still sporting a one piece rubber outsole, reinforced toe design, D-Ring lacing system and now famous five stripe band has since become an icon of the brand where quality is second to none. It continues to be produced in different colourways 40 years on which can be worn on and off the court. The brand has ricocheted and now produces a high tech tennis range, popular with tennis coaches around the globe as well as a vast range of fashionable styles for both men and women for everyday street wear use, with an urban edge.
